Hello From The Magic Tavern

I have been racking my brain for a couple of days here, trying to figure out what to say about this show. You know, apart from it being not real and all. Originally I tried being as whacky as this pod, but I couldn’t do it justice, so I’ll leave that to the experts.

I absolutely love it, that much is true, will you love it? That I don’t know. It’s probably as close to marmite as you can get for a podcast. You’ll either love it or you’ll hate it. I will add one caveat however. If you choose not to listen, then he who shall not be named, will destroy all of Foon, and that destruction will weigh heavily upon your shoulders my friend. Can you handle that?…can you?…really?

The Magic Tavern, or the Vermilion Minotaur, as it’s known in Hogface, is set in the strange, sorry, ‘magical’ land of Foon, that was found by stumbling through a rift in reality behind a Burger King in Chicago.

Each week Arnie converses with wizard Usidore, and Chunt the talking badger. Sorry again, a changeling, who happens to be a badger at the moment, and a weekly special guest, in a strangefest of improv comedy.

In a nutshell, a kind of Monty Python does ‘Who’s Line Is It Anyway’.

If that sounds like your thing, then you will probably agree with me that it’s 5 star material. If not, give it a go, you never know until you try it right!

Find out more about The Magical Tavern by clicking on the convenient link you just read past. For it will take you directly into the belly of the beast, where you shall bathe in its strange and wondrous oils, whilst having your ears massaged so divinely that your brain will melt, and ooze out of them. Enjoy!
